TGIF!!!!!
This week has been one of the longest ever….but now it is Friday! This weekend all of our friends will be getting together in Newport for Stonge and Ina's wedding - the official kick-off to our wedding season!
To help get myself out of work mode and into wedding mode, I'm going to share this beautiful Branford House real wedding from Katie Slater photography with you, that I found on TWD's blog earlier this week! Even on a rainy day, the Branford House is a stunning backdrop. (I'm still crossing my fingers for sun!)
Check out the blog for all of the images! But here are a few of my favorites below…

This weekend our friends from college Stonge and Ina are getting married in Newport! We can NOT wait to celebrate with them and enjoy our long weekend with friends :) The craziest part, is that their wedding date is exactly 2 months before ours! {!!!} I remember when we set our date feeling like their wedding, never mind ours, was so far away….and here it is!! Let the fabulous madness that is this summer begin! I can not wait.

…..ahhhhhhh. This is the first time a list has seemed a bit overwhelming for me. Not because it's actually stressful - but just because there is only one month left I can let the items roll over into! Can we just discuss for a minute again how crazy that is.
I can't wait for things at work to slow down a bit, so I can starting checking things off this list, and hopefully even get a little ahead into my July list! Thank you in advance to all of the wonderful people who are going to help make that happen!!

The May List: Recap
So, back to May…let's look at how we did.
The MAY List:
- Buy Ant's belt - not done. A trip to the outlets will be necessary soon.
- Send updated timeline stuff to Rachel - done!! We're on the same page with all of the pre-ceremony aspects of the timeline…now we just need to work out all the nitty gritty during the reception.
- Book videographer - DONE! Sing and dance and clap your hands. It would be appropriate.
- Pay $xxx.xx of our honeymoon balance - Done! Trying to take advantage of our CC rewards so we're paying in chunks. But we did reach out initial goal for May payments.
- Buy my shoes - DONE! Another one that involves a little singing and dancing as I cross it off. You all read plenty about that process already :)- Build all lawn games {groom will be doing this, but still!} - started…but not yet complete.
- Send email to groomsmen about shoes/belts/shirts - Done! The guys have all the details they need to complete their outfits, which makes me feel wayyyyy better.
- Schedule hair trial - Done! and coming up in just two weeks!!!
- Make all table #s - Not 100% done, I knew that was an aggressive goal…but they are all purchased and painted! Now we need to complete the photos and assemble them.
- Start looking for MOTB dress - Not done, but we have a date to go looking!
- Take at least one dad suit shopping - Sort of cheating…but we have decided that a suit my dad owns will work perfectly! He just needs to get it tailored…and we have a date to go shopping with Ant's dad this coming week.
- Finalize menu for rehearsal dinner - Not 100% done. We have contacted the BBQ place and gotten initial info, we just need to hash out the rest of the final menu.
- Decide on rehearsal dinner invites - Not done…I am putting way too much thought into them, I'm pretty sure. Hoping to make a quick decision and move on with that one this week!
- Decide if I need to see a seamstress about my rehearsal dinner dress - Done. I don't!
- Send out friendly reminders about the hotel room block! Not done… just slacking. We will be trying to get that done before the wedding we are going to next weekend!
- Look into transportation options - Done! Research is all done…just need to make a decision and book it :)
- Celebrate our one year engagement anniversary!!! - Done! We had a fabulous day together.
A few shots of some of the DIY items from our list this month!
We got to see my mom and grandfather for lunch this weekend - it was beautiful out and the Madison Beach Hotel has such a nice patio!
How was your May???
